Selling made simple: Ritchie Bros.’ enhanced seller experience makes invoicing and payouts easier than ever

July 7, 2025

At Ritchie Bros., we understand that when you sell equipment, you don’t just want results—you want clarity, speed, and trust throughout the process. That’s why we’ve upgraded our Seller Experience with new tools and automation that bring unmatched transparency and reliability to your invoicing and payouts.

Our new Enhanced Seller Statement Process simplifies the entire experience—from the moment your assets sell to when you receive payment. Whether you’re a long-time seller or exploring consignment for the first time, this digital evolution is designed to make your experience as a seller easier, faster, and more predictable.

With the new Seller Experience:

  • No more waiting on draft estimates or manual math
  • Full transparency into asset-level deductions and timelines
  • Smoother, faster payouts that you can depend on
  • A cleaner, modernized dashboard that saves you time

A smarter, more efficient process

We found that several manual steps in our previous seller workflows were slowing things down. So we listened, and we acted.

Our solution? A digitally enhanced system that enables automation for approximately 70% of our seller contracts—eliminating most manual calculations, reducing errors, and significantly improving on-time payouts.

This upgrade isn’t just about speed—it’s about giving you more control and insight at every step.

See your sale results instantly

Once your equipment sells, simply log in to your Ritchie Bros. account and access the Seller Experience. From there, navigate to Profile > Selling, and you’ll find the new Settlement Statement tab.

Here, you’ll get:

  • Sale prices for each item
  • An estimated payout based on the results
  • A clear breakdown of deductions and fees (once finalized)

Note: The first reports you see are estimates. Final numbers are updated after all deductions are processed—so some changes may occur before you receive your settlement.

A three-stage, easy-to-understand statement

Our Settlement Statement now follows a structured three-stage format:

  1. Estimated – Immediately after sale
  2. Provisional – Updated once key processing is complete
  3. Final – Reflects all deductions and confirms your final payout

Key Features:

  • Asset-level detail including sold price and itemized deductions
  • Includes both processed and unpaid assets
  • No need to combine multiple reports—everything’s in one place

Payouts you can trust

As your payments begin to process, a new Payout Statement is generated for each disbursement. This report is:

  • Automatically created with each payment
  • Includes only assets that were paid
  • Provides line-by-line deductions, so you know what was paid, when, and why
  • When your items sell, you’ll receive separate payments for each one based on the specific event and contract it was sold under—so if your equipment sells in different events or under different contracts, each sale will be paid out individually and clearly labeled.

This makes it easy to track partial payments, confirm amounts, and stay fully in the loop.
